The Town of Wayland has arranged a seminar on the Open Meeting Law to be conducted by attorneys from special counsel Kopelman & Paige. Speakers will cover the material contained in this memoranda and PowerPoint presentation and will respond to questions.
Duplicate presentations have been tentatively scheduled on two dates – Wednesday, April 28th and Thursday, June 17th. Both sessions will be held in the Large Hearing Room at the Wayland Town Building. The session on April 28 will begin at 7:30pm, the one on June 17 will begin at 7pm. The dates selected avoid conflicts with customary meeting nights and currently scheduled community and school events. Help us balance attendance between the programs. As one session is scheduled prior to the Town election, individuals who are not subject to the ballot in May 2010 or appointment in June 2010 are encouraged to attend the first session. Newly-elected and appointed officials and those who missed the first session are encouraged to attend the second session. Naturally, you are free to attend either session to accommodate your own schedule.
