Preview of April 26 Board of Selectmen Meeting

The next meeting of the Board of Selectmen will be held on Monday, April 26 in Town Building. Selectmen will first continue discussions with the Wastewater Management District Commission on easements and siting issues, as well as financing considerations, related to construction of the new wastewater treatment facility.

Selectmen will also receive the interim report of the Town Meeting Procedures Review Committee, specifically that group's recommendations on the three articles.

Later in the meeting, selectmen will review the Annual Town Meeting Warrant and consider board recommendations to residents on various articles. The Warrant will be delivered to mailboxes on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Annual Town Election, including a special election for State Senate and vote on a tax-neutral debt exclusion question, will be held on Tuesday, May 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the two polling places. Annual Town Meeting begins on Thursday, May 13 and continues on Monday, May 17 and Wednesday, May 19 at the High School Field House. Town Meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.

During the report of the Town Administrator, selectmen will discuss projected meeting agenda items for the next several meetings, make appointments to the Collaboration Committee, and will discuss schedule and logistics related to Annual Town Meeting. The Board will also review a proposed policy regarding election of the chair and vice-chair/clerk to implement the special act changing the date that elected officials hold office from election day to the adjournment sine die of Annual Town Meeting.

The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room.
