The Library is completely closed as of 5 pm on Monday, March 29, and will remain closed until further notice (certainly through the end of the week). The building currently has no power and the lower level is completely flooded. Therefore, we have no way to check in returned library materials. Of course, we will be waiving overdue charges during our crisis and recovery. One of the advantages of being part of a network is that patrons are able to return items to other Minuteman libraries where they will be checked in. We would appreciate it if users would return items to other Minuteman Libraries as we have limited dry space to store materials and no elevator in which to transport them to the circulation desks. Any items that are returned to Wayland will not be checked in until power is restored to the building and our systems are once again operational. We regret the inconvenience to our patrons and appreciate your patience.
