The Board of Selectmen appeared slightly chastened Monday night as they responded to a resident’s accusation that they violated the state’s Open Meeting Law. George Harris has filed a complaint with the Middlesex district attorney’s office, saying a quorum of the board inappropriately met with U.S. Rep. Niki Tsongas, D-5th, on Nov. 24. State law requires that meetings of town boards be announced publicly ahead of time.
