‘Wayland A-Z’: ‘R’ is for ‘Railroads’

Wayland Town Crier 11/26/09: 'Wayland A-Z': 'R' is for 'Railroads'. The sound of a train whistle through Wayland Center has not been heard since 1980. The track on the right of way under the electric towers is still there next to the Wayland Library’s parking lot. The Depot itself, now transformed into a gift shop, suggests the importance that trains once had as transportation for people and goods coming and going.
