Employees at Longfellow’s Wayside Inn will forgo their traditional Secret Santa gift exchange this year and instead donate to the Toys for Tots organization.  Gift shop manager Roberta Fitzgerald suggested the idea to co-workers and then scheduled for the delivery of a Toy for Tots donation box that will stay in the Wayside Inn gift shop until Thursday, December 10.  As this may be a particularly challenging year for families in need, the Wayside Inn is hoping to receive enough toys not only for the Toys for Tots program but for any local family "that may be in need of a little magic this Christmas."  According to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, there is a particular shortage of toys for children ages 11 to 13.  To participate in this worthwhile cause, simply drop off an unwrapped toy at the Wayside Inn gift shop, 72 Wayside Inn Road, open daily from 9am-9pm.
