Mom to Mom open to new members

Moms raising infants through adolescents will enjoy this 17th year of Mom to Mom in Wayland.  Because kids don’t come with instructions and every stage and age brings its own joys and challenges, Mom to Mom brings an air of relief to moms by offering support and encouragement through lectures and group interactions between moms of similar age children.  Mom to Mom offers a reprieve from the week as women come together to talk about practical ideas on communicating with, disciplining, encouraging, etc. kids.

One mom shares, "Mom to Mom provides me a place to share my worries, laugh about the challenges of being a mom and learn about ways to do my job better." Another states "It is nice to know that I am not alone."

Among the many Topics this year are:  Your Role and Identity as a Mother, Current Issues Affecting Today’s Family (Budgeting, Uncertainty, Job Loss), Raising Kids in this Digital Age, and Making Your Home a Safe Haven. The lectures are delivered in practical ways to help moms learn and apply ideas easily.   Humor is often used and small group discussions help moms share ideas on the topic.

Mom to Mom also offers a wonderful Children’s Ministry with crafts, activities and music.  Separate classes for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers are staffed by loving and caring people who provide a safe place for the children each Friday morning.  One mom shares “This was a great experience for both of my kids to get used to a group setting with other children.”  And, another mom said, "MTM helps me connect with other moms without the distraction of kids. Thank you for the fantastic children’s program ministry at TCC."
