Subject: WayCAM Fundraising Surpasses Goal

The fundraising drive launched by WayCAM in mid-April, to bring Video on Demand (VOD) programming to the Wayland community, has concluded and was a tremendous success. We surpassed our $3,000 goal in four weeks, thanks to the generous contributions of WayCAM viewers. We especially want to thank one extremely generous Wayland resident, and the Wayland Business Association, for their very substantial contributions. As a result, cable viewers, and also residents without cable service, will be able to watch previously recorded WayCAM programs on the Web, through WayCAM’s new Web site, www.waycam.tv, when it is convenient, via computer.

The VOD option, which we will be calling “WayCAM-On-Demand” starting in June, will be providing even better programming and services to the residents of Wayland. Please visit our Web site and see what we’ve got going on. A full WayCAM TV schedule is posted each week, as well as links to upcoming town government meetings.

WayCAM belongs to the Wayland community. Check our Web site, www.waycam.tv for information about joining WayCAM (membership supports our high school scholarship fund), and information about becoming a WayCAM Volunteer. We also encourage members of the community to find out how you can utilize WayCAM studio facilities at Wayland High School, and our equipment, to develop and produce your own TV program. It’s fun and easy, and a great method of self-expression.

Thank you again to all who contributed to our success, and the Wayland community at large for your continuing support of our work.

Ken Isaacson
President, and Chair-WayCAM Board of Directors
