Registration for the Inaugural Katie Lynch Heartbreak Hill Half-Marathon is open and Charity Runners and volunteers are needed!  The race will be held on May 31, 2009 in Newton, MA and all proceeds raised will go to the Katie Lynch Foundation.  Founded in memory of Katie Lynch (Wayland High School Class of 1993), KLF supports programs that create opportunities and foster respect for individuals with disabilities and those who assist them, such as Children’s Hospital Boston’s Opening Doors for Youth.  In honor of Katie’s personal mantra Parva Sed Potens (Latin for “small but powerful), Charity Runners are welcome regardless of the amount of money raised.  The Charity Runner program has many perks, e-mail heartbreakhillrunners@gmail.com for details.  The 13.1-mile USATF certified course will start and finish at Newton South High School, and will include Heartbreak Hill, appealing to all of the Boston Marathon fanatics.  For more information and to sign up as a runner, Charity Runner or volunteer, visit the race website, www.heartbreakhillhalfmarathon.com.
