Wayland Town Crier 4/2/09: Community Pool launches public fundraising effort. The Wayland Community Pool Committee will kick off a public fundraising campaign later this month to raise the balance of the $2.5 million needed to build the new pool, update the facility and parking lot, and provide landscaping to beautify the project. The official kickoff will be held at the swim banquets for the High School and Junior Warriors later this month, and will continue throughout the year until necessary funds are raised. To date, half of the funding, or $1.25 million, has been raised from the private donations of several Wayland residents.
