Wayland Student Press ‘Crowned’

Metrowest Daily News 3/29/09: Wayland Student Press ‘Crowned’. The Wayland Student Press recently struck journalistic gold. The online news site, created and maintained by Wayland High School students, received the Gold Crown award by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, an international organization that unites student editors and faculty advisers to produce student publications. This is the first time the Columbia association has presented Crown Awards to online media. Unlike other Gold Crown recipients, WSP was founded less than two years ago exclusively for online publishing. The entries in the contest were judged on writing and editing, design, content, concept, photography, art and graphics.
