Students offering free computer training

A small group of Wayland High School students is offering to help teach residents basic computer skills through a series of introductory classes at the High School. Classes will be held in the Media Center on Thursday, March 19, Tuesday, March 24 and Wednesday, April 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. There is no charge to attend the classes. Course content will range from computer basics to Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as using the Internet and e-mail. The courses will be individualized for class participants based on their current computer knowledge. Attendees will sit one-on-one with their instructor and they will drive instruction based on their own needs and skill level. To enroll call 508-358-3748 or e-mail whstrain2009@gmail.com.
