Republicans celebrate Lincoln’s birthday

The Sudbury Republican Town Committee is sponsoring a dinner to celebrate Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birthday at the Wayside Inn’s upstairs ballroom on Wednesday, Feb. 11 starting at 6:30pm (dinner at 7:15pm).

As Lincoln was the first U.S. president of the modern Republican Party, his 200th birthday dinner will kick off the next election cycle in which area Republicans will be working toward a new momentum which will convince voters that a one-party system cannot fairly represent the people in Massachusetts.

Invited guests include area Republican Town Committee members, State Sen. Scott Brown, R-Wrentham, representatives from the GOP 8 (a successful Republican group from eight towns on the South Shore), State Committee men and women and the new chair of the Mass. Republican Party. Republican supporters are also invited to attend.

The evening promises to be a good exchange of ideas and future plans as well as a chance to meet other active Republicans in the area. Cost is $50 per person, payable to the Sudbury Republican Town Committee.

Space is limited and the deadline for reservations is Feb. 6. For more information or to reserve a seat call 508-251-2281 or e-mail.
