Wayland Board of Health Members and Staff would like to extend a sincere “thank you” for volunteer efforts

January 29, 2009

From the Wayland Board of Health and Staff to
MA Region 4A Wayland Medical Reserve Corps Volunteers.

Dear MA Region 4A Wayland Medical Reserve Corps Volunteers:

The Wayland Board of Health Members and Staff would like to extend a sincere “thank you” for all the volunteer efforts provided throughout the 2008-2009 Flu Clinics.  These clinics help to protect our fellow neighbors against the flu.  The MA Region 4A Wayland Medical Reserve Corps Volunteers helped to perform set-up, registration, provide flu and pneumonia vaccines, and break-down of each of our three Flu Clinics. Their support within our community was enormous!

We also would like to thank our volunteers for all their support and response during the 2008 Ice Storm Shelter Operations Deployment in Fitchburg when it was necessary to support the medically frail who were displaced from their homes after the ice storm.

Thank you,

Wayland BOH Members: Anna Ludwig, Michael Wegerbauer, Arnold Soslow, Simone Mordas, and Mark Neuman, and BOH Staff: Director of Public Health Steven Calichman, R.S., C.H.O.,  Public Health Nurse Ruth Mori, R.N., BSN, Health Agent Julia Junghanns, and BOH support staff.
