Wayland Town Crier 1/29/09:  More NIke site units to be sold. A drawing to determine the new owners of the affordable housing units now nearing completion at 89 Oxbow Road in north Wayland (the former Nike site) was held last week at the Town Building. Eleven of 16 units have been spoken for, although the buyers will have to submit further paperwork and undergo additional vetting to meet the final qualifications for purchase. While the number of applicants was relatively small and five of the townhouse-style condos are still to be sold, town officials and committee members as well as the builders are confident the remaining units will sell quickly, “very likely before they’re ready for occupancy in late March,” according to Gretchen Schuler, chairwoman of the Nike Site Reuse Advisory Committee.
