Our Sports Central 1/22/09: Beach Bums Deal Outfielder Roblin to Manchester. Wayland native Brad Roblin was traded to the Worcester (Mass.) Tornadoes of the CanAm League. He hit .232 last season with 30 runs-batted in, 15 doubles, a triple and three home runs, stole eight bases in 2008, and scored 21 runs. The right-hander originally signed with the Beach Bums a month into the 2007 season and went on to lead the team with a .427 on-base percentage and did not record an error in the outfield.
