Dr. Karla Rose and Tuffy will be at the library. Rose, a trained therapist, will talk about their work as crisis responders at the local, state and national level to incidents that include school or workplace trauma, violence, or mass casualty. They serve on several Critical Incident Stress Management Teams in Massachusetts. Tuffy is a Cavalier King Charles spaniel and is certified as a "Type 1" animal assisted Crisis Responder and also certified as a hospital pet therapist and as a Reading Education Assistance Dog to work with child trauma victims who are struggling at school. Program is suitable for all ages.
