Computer Recyling Event to benefit Make the Dash Count

Computer Recycling Event: Recycle and GIVE back! Saturday, April 4th, 10am-2pm. Safely and CHEAPLY recycle your computers, monitors, printers, cell phones and more… and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the “Make the Dash Count Foundation.” This Foundation is run locally by 15 youth board members from Wayland, Framingham and Needham high schools, and serves as a living legacy for the beloved Happy Hollow School teacher, Andrea Chick. Throughout the year, these student volunteer leaders learn about philanthropy, review grants and gift $20,000 a year to organizations that help kids at risk of not fulfilling their dreams. To date, this youth board has gifted $60,000 locally. This year, due to the economic downturn, they are charged with the challenge and opportunity to raise this money. On Saturday, April 4th from from 10am to 2 pm, stop by the Wayland Middle School and drop off your old computers, monitors and more. Local recycling centers charge $25 to recycle one of these items, but through this special fundraiser it’s as little as $15 per recycled item and it all goes to this charity!! Thanks to the support of Computer Recycling USA, all equipment will be disposed of safely and securely from a data security and environmental perspective. Certificates available.
