Wayland Patch 6/14/11: Challengers to Scott Brown Speak to Framingham Democrats. State Rep. Tom Conroy, who represents Wayland, Lincoln and Sudbury, and Newton Mayor Setti Warren, both candidates for U.S. Senate in 2012, spoke to a small crowd of democrats from Framingham Sunday night. The Framingham Democratic Town Committee hosted the two candidates who are each vying, along with four other candidates, to take over U.S. Senator Scott Brown's seat in November 2012. One of the biggest issues for both Warren and Conroy is job creation.

Smulowitz won’t run again for state Senate

Wayland Town Crier 5/25/10: Smulowitz won't run again for state Senate. The Democrats won’t have any candidates on the ballot during the primary for Sen. Richard Ross’s State Senate seat after Peter Smulowitz missed the deadline for filing the necessary papers with the Secretary of State’s office. The deadline for collecting signatures and filing the paperwork with the Secretary of State’s office was May 25.
