Arts Wayland Presents: The Stefano Marchese and Andrea Pejrolo Group

The esteemed Arts Wayland Berklee Faculty Jazz Series continues with the Stefano Marchese and Andrea Pejrolo Group on Sunday, September 29th at 3 pm at the First Parish of Wayland where they will perform “Travel Notes.” Stefano Marchese and Andrea Pejrolo: two great Italian musicians who over the years have brought to Boston, the Italian culture, Italian pop, and the musicality of the Italian language which the whole world admires. They have both collaborated with great artists, including Bobby McFerrin, Luis Enrique, Mogol, and Carmen Consoli, and have performed nationally and internationally.

Thanks to their experience, Stefano Marchese – jazz singer winner of numerous international awards, and Andrea Pejrolo – jazz composer/arranger, producer, and double bass player, hold the role of professors of one of the most prestigious universities in the world: Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Andrea Pejrolo and Stefano Marchese, accompanied by an all-star band, present an exciting concert dedicated to the tradition of the Acoustic Canzone Italiana revisited with contemporary rhythms and sophisticated jazz harmonies. This project blends the Mediterranean musical tradition with a modern mix of original melodies, harmonies, and grooves.
