Town of Wayland 11/4/22: Wayland Fire Department Extinguishes Two-Alarm Fire on Highgate Road. Chief Neil McPherson reports that the Wayland Fire Department extinguished a two-alarm fire Thursday evening. Just before 6 p.m., Wayland Fire received multiple 911 calls reporting smoke coming from a single-family home at 19 Highgate Road.
