Worldwide Debut of Boston Based Film “Growing Through Covid-19”

A new full-length documentary film called “Growing Through Covid-19” features Russell’s Garden Center. This is an emotional yet uplifting film about the small business struggles faced during covid-19 and the happiness people found from gardening. It illustrates the support and love of a family business and their employees, along with the customers who rallied around them.

With a professional Boston based crew, an original musical score, and an abundance of colorful plants throughout, “Growing Through Covid-19” beautifully captures both your eyes and ears. The dramatic story shows how Russell’s quickly changed their business to adapt to the times and reopen. During the pandemic’s darkest hours, they helped thousands of new people try gardening for the first time.

Russell’s Garden Center, in Wayland, is a 5th generation 145 year-old garden center. They specialize in indoor and outdoor plants, garden decor, gifts, toys, fresh and silk flowers, and seasonal decorations. Established in 1876, they are the 2nd oldest garden center in the country.
