Boston.com 8/6/22: Former longtime WBZ-TV meteorologist Bruce Schwoegler has died. Former longtime WBZ-TV meteorologist and Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame member Bruce Schwoegler has died, his family said Friday evening. [Schowegler lived in Wayland.] Schwoegler, a top-rated forecaster and science reporter at the station for 33 years, died on Thursday, his family said in a post to his Facebook page. He had experienced aphasia in his later years, according to the post.

  1. If it wasn’t Bruce the forecast just wasn’t the same. Thirty years is a long time of memories.

  2. I agree with Marsha Schultz’s comment. The Boston TV market during Bruce’s time had several excellent meteorologists, but Bruce’s enthusiastic delivery and his magnetic personality made him the best of the best—the one to watch. I’ve missed him all these years! May he Rest In Peace.

  3. Bruce was a living legend at TV4. He made every forecast special and not to be missed. We lost a wonderful man. My heart felt sympathy to all who watched and knew him. Bruce you will be misse
