Forum on the Wayland Climate Mobilization Action Plan (zoom)

March 29th 2022, 7:00 pm-8:30 pm

This will be on zoom. Register here.

You are cordially invited to attend two public meetings to respond to the   Wayland Climate Mobilization Action Plan (CAMP!). When we voted overwhelmingly to acknowledge the climate emergency we are facing, we also committed to creating a mobilization plan to do our part to reduce emissions and to set an example for what’s possible. It’s here and ready for your review! You can read the Draft Climate Action Plan summary or the full version.  The Committee will give a short presentation of the Plan, and then invite your questions and comments.

In Pieces – Creative exploration of climate grief
April 25th 2022, 7:00 pm-8:30 pm

On zoom. Register here.

In this participatory creative workshop we will use art materials to explore two visions of our world: one of grief and uncertainty, and the other of joy, gratitude, and beauty. We will do this on zoom, but together. This workshop is designed for adults and young adults. Join us regardless of experience or talent. Please bring your favorite pencils, watercolors, crayons, collage materials, whatever is your favorite, two pieces of paper or canvas, a pair of scissors, and a stick of glue.

The workshop will last approximately one hour, with time after for more conversation, and will be led by Kaat Vander Straeten and a co-facilitator. A zoom link will be sent to you after you register here. For more info, email info@energizewayland.org.

This workshop is the second of a series of events called “Creative Explorations of Climate Grief” and is sponsored by Transition Wayland, Energize Wayland, the W Gallery and the Wayland Public Library.
