Wayland Student Press Network 10/4/21: Turf field moratorium passes at special town meeting. Wayland’s special town meeting took place yesterday, Oct. 3, from 12:30-2:30. Wayland residents voted to pass the three year moratorium on the turf fields along with the three articles for the grass fields.

Opponents of crumb rubber sports fields scored a victory Sunday when Town Meeting approved a moratorium on building new artificial fields in town. Town Meeting also approved three measures that would create two new grass athletic fields in town.
