Boston Ballparks and Red Sox Native Sons

Wed., Aug. 11, 10:30am in the Council on Aging. Before there was Fenway Park, there were seven other Boston stadiums that housed professional baseball teams. Hearing about these parks is also a great way to learn about Boston’s history. During the team’s 119 seasons, almost 100 youngsters from Massachusetts have had their dream of playing for the Red Sox come true. Some lasted less than one season, but some made it to the Red Sox Hall of Fame! Herb Crehan has interviewed more than 140 former Red Sox, written more feature articles for the Red Sox program than anyone in the club’s history, and loves to share stories from his 24 years with the team.
