Wayland 375 invites you to an evening of dance on Saturday evening, April 5th at the Wayland Middle School.  Performances will include students from the Inishfree School of Dance and Natyavidyalaya.  These Irish and Indian dance groups rehearse at the Church of the Holy Spirit.  Performing between the two groups will be the Hip Hop Mamas.  The MC for the evening will be Allyson Barker, Barker School of Ballet.

Bharata Natyam is an ancient classical dance form practiced predominantly in South India.  The dance group, Natyavidyalaya, was established in 1990 by Meena Subramanyam to train and educate students in the theory and practice of this dance form, to understand Hindu mythology, and to help students better appreciate the Indian culture and way of life.  The Inishfree School of Irish Dancing is directed by Meghan Allen and offers classes in traditional Irish dances for children aged four and up.  The “Hip Hop Mamas” are a dance company that formed almost ten years ago out of obscurity from the hip hop class instructed by Elizabeth Bernstein.  These Mamas hail from the various Metrowest communities, and share their passion for dance and performing.

Join us for an interesting and fun evening:  Saturday, April 5, 7pm in the Wayland Middle School.
