Candidate Debate Shows:

  • Live Candidate Q&A on Wayland Cable TV.  All candidates in Wayland's contested School Committee and Selectman races will be participating in the 10th annual Candidates Live! Q&A/Call-In program on the Wayland Channel (Comcast channel 9) Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 6-8pm. Town Moderator Peter Gossels will host this show, which is unique in Wayland politics in that it is a live broadcast during which viewers at home can call the studio to ask their questions directly to the candidates.   There will be separate hour-long segments for Selectman and School Committee candidates. Mr. Gossels will field the calls and also ask some questions of his own. The program will be taped for rebroadcast before the Town Elections on April 8.  Rebroadcasts will be on: April 4, 5 and 6 at 1:30 and 9:30pm, and Monday the 7th at 1:30pm.

  • League of Women Voters 58th Annual Candidates Night, April 2, Large Hearing Room, Town Building. There will be opportunity to meet the candidates and have some light refreshments from 7-7:30pm. The meeting will run from 7:30-9:30pm.  There are two contested positions, Board of Selectmen and School Committee, and 10 uncontested positions.  All candidates will be given an opportunity to speak with a question-and-answer period to follow.  Katty Chase from Weston will serve as moderator.  Rebroadcasts will be on: April 4, 5 and 6 at 4pm, Monday the 7th at 8am and 4pm.
