Events
Monday, May

Wayland's
Memorial Day Parade will form at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May
28, 2007, at the Wayland Middle School, 201 Main Street.
The parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. and will proceed along
Route 27 to Route 30 to the South Cemetery in Cochituate.

Captain Thomas J. Risser, USN Headquarters USMC
Dr.
Risser is a Lincoln resident, practicing cardiologist,
assistant professor at the Harvard School of Medicine
and received his M.D. degree from Pennsylvania State
University in 1972.
In his other life,
Dr. Risser is a US Navy Flight Surgeon with the rank of
Captain and assigned to Headquarters USMC. He has
served in some 20-25 foreign countries and he prefers to
be with the troops and be in contact with the people.
Most recently, he served for seven months in Iraq with
the 25th Marines, Fort Devens, returning in March 2006.
While in Iraq he was based at Camp Bubue Dice in Anbar
Provence and went along on operations in Ramadi and
Falujah as well as covering areas west of Baghdad to the
Syrian border.
