Metrowest Daily News 2/14/09: Area communities willing to help spend that stimulus. Wayland proposals include:

  • Structural Repairs to basement and underground drainage of Public Safety Building: Repair to the basement slab and sidewalls and installation of an underground drainage system ($1,700,000)
  • Construction of Replacement Aquatic Center: Replacement of 50 year old indoor swimming complex ($4,500,000)
  • Wayland Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade: Construction of a new wastewater treatment plant to replace an obsolete facility that was originally constructed in 1961 ($5,200,000)
  • System Improvements: This project consists of the installation of the following ductile iron water mains. Water mains include all water services, and associated valves, fittings and hydrants. ($9,500,000)
  • Wayland Sanitary Landfill Phase V Final Cover System: The project involves the design and construction of a final cover system in accordance with 310 CMR 19.000 at the Wayland Sanitary Landfill, in Wayland, MA. ($1,000,000)
  • Route 27/30 Intersection Improvement Project Design of traffic signalization, reconstruction of roadways and sidewalks, storm drainage, signage, striping and landscaping improvements. $1,250,000
  • Wayland Sanitary Landfill Gas-to-Energy Facility: The project involves the design and construction of a new landfill gas-to-energy facility at the Wayland Sanitary Landfill. ($2,150,000)
