Wayland Town Crier 9/17/09: Town pool efforts continue in Wayland. The Wayland Community Pool group, a local nonprofit, has been working hard over the past several years on plans to build a new pool. A request for proposals has been issued by the town of Wayland for construction of the new pool and bids are due by Sept. 30. Construction on the new pool is anticipated to begin in March 2010 and is expected to be completed by November 2010 in time for the High School and town recreation seasons. The Wayland Community Pool group plans to submit a proposal and fundraising continues for the $2.5 million effort.
