Violinist Gabriel Bolkosky and pianist Sarah Bob, who this week performed an all-Beethoven concert at the Goethe-Institut, have agreed to reprise the program for us on April 3 in the Little Theatre. You may remember Sarah’s stunning Little Theatre performance of the Poulenc Sextet with Radius Ensemble last season.

Beethoven: Three Sonatas for Violin and Piano with an introduction for younger listeners

No. 5 in F Major (“Spring”)
Op. 24 No. 1 in D Major
Op. 12/1 No. 7 in c minor (“Eroica”), Op. 30/2

The first sonata will be preceded by a short, kid-friendly introduction and followed by an intermission. This format is intended to give children an enjoyable sample of first-rate classical music in a concert setting, without interfering too much with the enjoyment of the experienced concertgoer.
