Amnesty International chapter forming for Wayland-Lincoln-Sudbury and Stow

Metrowest Daily News 2/22/10: Amnesty International chapter forming for Wayland-Lincoln-Sudbury and Stow. Amnesty International USA’s Northeast Regional Office headquartered in Somerville has announced that it is forming a new local chapter for residents of Wayland, Lincoln, Sudbury and Stow to complement existing local chapters in Lexington and Concord. Amnesty International is a Nobel Prize winning organization with more than 2.2 million members and supporters in over 150 countries. Its purpose is to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. Amnesty International investigates and exposes abuses, educates and mobilizes the public and helps transform societies to create a safer, more just world.

An organizational meeting for the new local chapter will be held on Wednesday, March 10, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Wayland Public Library, 5 Concord Road, Wayland, MA.
