Mark Your Calendars.  Pegasus dates are as follows:  Session 1, June 28 – July 16, 2010 and Session 2, July 19 – August 6, 2010.

Program location is Claypit Hill School.

Expanded Offerings. In response to its success last summer, Incredible Adventures (Grades 3 – 6) is being expanded as a specialty area to all six weeks. The program combines outdoor challenges like hiking, canoeing, and fishing with teambuilding activities and mapmaking skills. An addition for the coming summer is an outdoor ropes course. The activities are designed to challenge children physically and mentally while being part of a community working together.

Other Specialty Areas are: Performing Arts, WPKN (TV Production), Sizzlin’ Science, Studio Art, and Games Galore.  Sample electives are Games, Computers, Culinary Arts, Dance, Arts & Crafts, Music, and a new elective, the Pegasus Times Newspaper. Young reporters will be introduced to basic journalism skills as they report about happenings at Pegasus.

Afternoon Options. Standard hours for Pegasus are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday for
Grades 1 – 6 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. three, four, or five days weekly for preschool/kindergarten.

The 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. afternoon option is being expanded for K-6 children. It will feature three choices: Recreational Swim, Art in the Afternoon, or Sports, Games, and Physical Fitness. Participants will choose one option per session.

New Hours.  Extended Day will now begin at 7:30 a.m. to accommodate families needing an earlier start to their day. For all children, extended hours are available from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Daily/Weekly Themes.  Adding to the fun at Pegasus are special themes like silly hats, snow events, Olympic games, and lots more.

Flexible Enrollment.  Weekly options will be offered for children attending a minimum of one session. For example, a child attending Session One may now sign up for one or two weeks of Session Two. Enrollment information is available in the forms to be distributed in December.
