Historic house on the move in Wayland

Wayland Town Crier 12/11/09: Historic house on the move in Wayland. On April 19, 1775, Zachariah Bryant – one of Wayland’s earliest residents – picked up his musket, left his house at what is now 10 Old Sudbury Road, and went to fight the British in Concord. Two hundred and thirty-five years later, Edmund Rice – a descendent and namesake of another one of Wayland’s earliest residents – in turn, picked up Zachariah’s old house and moved it about 80 feet back from its original location.
