Open House at Wayland Water Treatment Plant

Please join the Department of Public Works and the Town of Wayland at the open house for the new Wayland Water Treatment plant, 101 Old Sudbury Road Wayland, MA.

The Baldwin Pond Water Treatment Plant is a 1.5 MGD water filtration plant.   Our process is quite different from traditional water filtration plants. In traditional water filtration, water is passed through a series of sedimentation basins and sand filters to achieve DEP and EPA drinking water requirements. The new facility at Baldwin Pond uses a series of Hollow Core Fiber Membrane Filters to achieve drinking water standards. This process is called Ultra Filtration.
