Thursday, December 3, Great Presenters Series: Nancy Poydar, Wayland Library, 7:30-9pm

Nancy Poydar on "How Did a Community Help Launch a Children’s Author/Illustrator & What Does the Process of Book Making Entail?"  Nancy will share how she broke into the competitive children’s book field as a writer and illustrator.  Her numerous titles include 14 picture books.  She will share the process of book making with samples of each stage culled from her work.

Nancy Poydar was a teacher in Concord for fourteen years.  Most of her stories are classroom situations.  She has degrees in English and Education from Tufts University and took art classes at The Boston Museum School, Decordova and Drumlin Farm.  Her latest book is "Fish School" about losing a pet fish at an aquarium
