Talking Police Helicopter over Dudley Pond last night

    Hi!
Does anyone know what that police helicopter was doing flying and hovering for 2 hours around Dudley Pond last night?
Just wanted to see if anyone else was kept up for a couple of hours

A Wayland friend of mine thinks it may have been related to a struggling swimmer in Dudley Pond, perhaps with the Chat as point of embarkation. As of now, that's all he has heard.

An update, same source, I've edited a bit: "There were police and police dogs scouring the neighborhood, looking for this person who decided to take a swim. This person is someone who lives on Bayfield Rd. and was rather intoxicated when he left the Chat. Rather than walk home, he decided he'd take a swim. He left a neat pile of clothes and his glasses on the dock ramp at the Chat and that's all we know. I don't know if he was found or not."

No idea the truth of this at this point.

From Wayland PD: 04/07/2010 at approx. 9 p.m. Wayland Police investigated a missing person complaint. The missing person's clothing and personal items were found piled near the waters edge of Dudley Pond. Wayland police and fire, a K-9 unit from Metro-LEC, and the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing searched the Dudley Pond area. Person located, transported to hospital for evaluation.
