Effect on taxes from proposed Wayland High School building project

Wayland Town Crier 10/8/09: Effect on taxes from proposed Wayland High School building project. After nearly seven years spent advocating for a new or renovated High School, town committees and supporters have just weeks to convince voters to support the project at the ballot on Nov. 17 and at special Town Meeting starting Nov. 18.

Last week the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) approved a construction grant of $25 million for the $70.8 million project. The state would reimburse the town on a pay-as-you go basis throughout the construction period.
