Sunday, October 4, Trail Walk, Highland Street Forest, Weston, 2pm

A family-focused outing in the Highland Street Forest in Weston will be the Weston Forest & Trail Association’s first monthly walk of the season. Meet at leader Ann Wiedie’s home at 240 Highland St. Wiedie plans to encourage walkers to collect colorful fall leaves and after the walk will show participants how to dip the leaves in melted wax to preserve them. Leaf-dipping and tea following the walk will be held at Wiedie’s home. Everyone is welcome to participate, but dogs must be leashed. The route will take about an hour-and-a-half. Depending on the weather, warm clothing and waterproof boots may be recommended. For more information call 781-899-2816.
