Take a stroll down the bridle paths of the old Paine Estate, pass the Noyes-Parris House—Wayland’s oldest dwelling—and cross fields that have been farmed for centuries.  View the river from the bluff, which was undoubtedly known by the earliest Native Americans.  Stop to read the headstones in the Paine family’s pet cemetery.  If it rains or if you prefer a sedentary trip to the thirty-minute walk, meet at the Grout-
Heard House at 2 p.m. for a virtual tour of fascinating facts and photos with Curator Lois Davis.  Walkers meet at 2 p.m. in the conservation land parking lot at the end of Green Way.  All others meet at 2 p.m. at the Grout-Heard House Museum.  Afterwards, both groups will join for an exhibit of old photos and of course, refreshments.
