Volunteers Needed for MetroWest Medical Program

The MetroWest Free Medical Program provides health care for those without insurance in our communities. The program offered services to more than 1,100 individuals in 2009.  We have openings for volunteers at the Sudbury location for Social Workers and Registered Nurses. Social work volunteer responsibilities include meeting with patients to screen for mental health needs, making referrals for psychiatric and mental health follow-up care, and connecting patients to additional community resources and services. RN volunteers are needed to do triage/screening.
Location: MetroWest Free Medical Program, hosted by Congregation Beth El, 105 Hudson Rd. Sudbury, MA
Time Commitment:  Tuesday evenings, 2- 2.5 Hours, one to two evenings per month
Qualifications: LICSW for Social Workers and malpractice insurance preferred (required for mental health screening), Current MA license for Registered Nurses and malpractice insurance
