The Golden Tones gained national recognition when the group was featured on CNN, but for the members of the senior singing group the goal is to have fun, not fame. The Golden Tones started 22 years ago, and the group of senior singers performs about 60 times a year around the region. Anyone is welcome to join, even if they do not think they are a good singer, said Phyllis Sonnenschein of Natick, the vice president in charge of publicity and a six-year member.
