Wayland Town Crier 8/13/09: Six Wayland stores sell cigarettes to a minor in police sting. Nearly half of the businesses tested by the Wayland Police Department for tobacco sales compliance failed on Tuesday, with six out of the 13 establishments selling cigarettes to a 17-year-old without asking for identification.

Police Chief Robert Irving believed it was the most businesses that have ever failed during a tobacco compliance check.
