The Wayland Public Schools Foundation invites you to celebrate Wayland at “Homecoming” on Saturday, October 3 at 7pm.

This not-to-be-missed community party will bring together Wayland residents, faculty and administration, parents and alumni alike. There will be a silent auction, raffle, music, refreshments, hors d’oeuvres provided by Mel’s Catering and an exciting performance by the High School Pep Band!

In honor of the Wayland football program turning 100 years old, Wayland High School Band Director Joseph Oneschuk Jr. and the Pep Band will be premiering a new piece of music titled "Warrior Pride." The composer is Richard Sebring of Wayland, assistant principal French horn of the Boston Symphony and principal French horn of the Boston Pops. He is a professor at the New England Conservatory and has recently been hired to write several arrangements for Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops. He has been coming into Wayland High to coach the students and provide master classes.

The past few years have sold out so we encourage you to buy your tickets online soon. You can also purchase tickets at our tailgate party on Friday evening, October 2, at the Wayland High School football game (starting at 6pm) and get a free megaphone!

The Wayland Public Schools Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the education of Wayland’s children.

The foundation has become a dynamic force in insuring the quality of our schools and an important resource for children and families in Wayland.

Since 1983, the foundation, in partnership with Wayland teachers and school administrators, has funded initiatives that have improved the quality of classroom instruction, made the newest technology available to Wayland students, and contributed to the overall excellence of our schools.

The foundation has funded hundreds of projects that have benefited students throughout the entire school system. Many of these were pilot programs that have been incorporated into the curriculum.

Thanks to the generous support of the citizens of Wayland and the vision and hard work of volunteer members, the foundation has made a difference in our children’s education.
