Metrowest Daily News 7/28/09: Lake Cochituate residents applaud results of herbicides. The treatment of the North Pond of Lake Cochituate included two chemicals – triclopyr and diquat – and the use of a diver-assisted harvester boat. The work was paid for with a $44,000 grant from the state Department of Conservation of Recreation, plus $22,000 donated by the towns of Wayland and Framingham.
