Teamwork Through Tunes is always seeking more middle school age musicians!

Are you looking to be a part of a music group outside of school? Want to play with a rock or jazz band, or a guitar duo but don’t know how to get involved? Need another guitar player or drummer to complete your current band but can’t find one? Then contact Teamwork Through Tunes – teamworkthroughtunes@gmail.com.

The goal of Teamwork Through Tunes (T3)  is to give middle school age adolescents the experience of being part of a team with others of different abilities and talents, striving for the same goal, in a creative environment. Through T3 you can meet other teens, match up your musical styles (from "head banging" rock to "unplugged" style) and form your band or become part of one that has already formed.

T3 musicians will also learn that their talents can help others.  Performance opportunities featuring T3 bands are being planned with the purpose of raising money for local charitable organizations. As part of T3, your band will be encouraged to take part in local events. Adult and high school age mentors will be available to assist bands with the creative process and to help keep you focused on your goals.

Teamwork Through Tunes is sponsored by the YES Committee (Youth Empowerment and Support) comprised of parents representing Wayland, Sudbury, Weston, Stow, Maynard and Lincoln. The mission of YES is to empower adolescents with the tools and the confidence to make smart and healthy choices. The organizer of Teamwork Through Tunes is Steve Robb of Wayland, a parent of two high school daughters and a teen mentor, whose first band formed in 7th grade. He is currently having the time of his life as a member of Mid-Life Crisis, a classic rock band. Inquiries can be e-mailed to teamworkthroughtunes@gmail.com
