Independent Living Options Taskforce (ILOT) of Wayland and Lincoln on Partnerships, Publications, and Other Plans

The Independent Living Options Taskforce (ILOT) of Wayland and Lincoln will present findings on potential partnerships, publications, and other plans at a meeting to be held in the Large Hearing Room of the Wayland Town Building (41 Cochituate Road) on Tuesday, June 23 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.

The purpose of ILOT is to create a local nonprofit organization, based on the model of Beacon Hill Village in Boston, that will provide services for older residents to allow them options for aging in place.

The two main presenters at the upcoming meeting will be:

•    Charlie Raskin of ILOT’s Community Offerings Committee, which is ascertaining what the community already has in place by way of services for elders; and

•    Jan Dunn of ILOT’s Similar Communities Investigation/Mission Statement Committee, which is investigating what communities similar to Wayland and Lincoln have accomplished so far as well as drawing up a mission statement for ILOT.

Everyone is welcome to attend, and there will be time for public discussion.
