Wayland Town Crier 5/28/09: Team Jean hard at work for Pan-Massachusetts Challenge. Team Jean is a team of Wayland-based riders in this year’s Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC), the 192-mile, two-day “bike-a-thon” that raises money for cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The Team has been riding the PMC and raising money to defeat cancer for eight years. Over 150 Team Jean riders have raised $2.4 million from their friends and family in the area and beyond since they began riding as a team in 2002. The team typically numbers 60 riders each year and raises an average of $350,000. If you are interested in riding as part of Team Jean, contact Peter Shaw.
