Becky Leonard is looking to start a First Lego League Team for the town of Wayland, and needs someone to be a coach. Ideally this person would have some engineering and/or computer skills to help the team. Please or e-mail Becky Leonard or call her (at 508-653-6139) for more information. This should be great fun for the kids, and they will learn a lot in the process. It is approximately a 10 week commitment. 

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is an exciting and fun global robotics program that ignites an enthusiasm for discovery, science, and technology in kids ages 9 to 14.

Each year FLL teams embark on an adventurous Challenge based on current, real-world issues. Guided by a team coach and assisted by mentors, the kids:

• Research and solve a real-world problem based on the Challenge theme
• Present their research and solutions
• Build an autonomous robot using engineering concepts

The team uses the Lego Mindstorm (NXT) for the challenge.
